This place is a total scam. $35 for a REALLY small portion of barramundi. And $30 for a ravioli with almost no padding. As a italian, this place is a disgrace. I wouldn't eat here again.
Gorgeous food and wine. Cocktails are pretty nice too. Will defo be going back here when we are back in Byron
Really nice place with amazing food. The crab and squid ink pasta is beyond this world. I would say I've never had pasta with such perfect amount of bounce. Price is on the high side and portion is tiny though. A small eater would need two mains to feel full.
If you don’t go here to eat you clearly hate incredible food, tremendous service friendly bar staff. Oh and you must also detest well made cocktails too. Seriously.
Really good food and service Highly recommended!!
Great authentic Italian... best food and service I've had in long time... would highly recommend if travelling to Byron....
Delicious italian food and yummy natural wine! The focaccia and sardines were? We sat at the bar and had fantastic service. Would definitely recommend.
Very disappointing with service. We waiting over an hour for our mains as every other table around us came, ate and left while no staff came up to check. It was only till an hour 15mins passed when the waiter decided to check up on our main. He stated the machine had been playing up and they’ll get the food out straight away. He then said we will get a free dessert so we should order two! We only ordered one. which we were happy with. Once the bill came they only gave us only 10% discount ($11) and no free dessert but then placed a Sunday rate surcharge of $10!! Unacceptable from our end. (Lucky we didn’t get two desserts!)
Very nice dinning experience, classic but also creative dishes of italian cuisine presented with various wine options. Professional staff with great service.
Lovely Italian restaurant. Great food.
After a stroll along the beach, we wanted a glass of red wine before calling it a night. We came across De Vino which looked very interesting. They were busy with the dinner rush, however the lovely staff found us a table and talked us through their delightful Italian wine list. We enjoyed our glasses of wine and would love to come back for dinner. The menu looked awesome and the guests looked happy and satisfied with their dinner.
Food, drinks, service, venue, vibe - all incredible! Can’t wait to come back to visit Byron just for this place!
Great joint, solid authentic Italian fare, with some really great wines, amaro and service to boot. Some of the best food in Byron Bay for sure!
Lovely ambiance, experienced and friendly staff and a great meal! Thank you!
Great spot with a really nice vibe and delicious authentic italian food. The service was pretty awful but hopefully it’s just because it was a busy Saturday night. Highly recommend the Paparadelle Ragu.
The Ragu was really good! The eggplant pasta however was good but very sweet and needed more to balance out the sweetness of the eggplant and the tomato. The service was quite average and we didn’t feel like looked after, maybe because the space is so large they kind of lose you.
10/10 for service, ambience and food. Best meal we have had for a long time. We cannot fault any part of the evening. The squid ink pasta was a highlight among many highlights. Get in there!!
I just called today to ask if I could book a table at the bar and I got told they don’t book tables at the bar and for me to not worry and pop anytime I will be fine. Surprise when I showed up and there was a spot at the bar and they said I could only seat for 30 min there since it was booked for a staff member. Quite disappointing and really not helpful host staff. Unprofessional and I can tell myself being someone that works in the industry. Had a quite nice experience on another occasion, not sure if I will be back.
The food is incredible.
Food: 9/10 Amazing house made pasta. Pasta is cook to perfection with right level of bouncy ness to it. The cheese balls and tortellini are super delicious and well cooked. Service: 7/10 Staff is fairly attentive and provided responsive service Value: 8/10 Price reflect quality of food Overall: 8/10 Will come back for the pasta. Wow Factor: House made pasta
Fabulous food. They were able to modify the food to my needs. Waitress' knowledge was great, she knew her food & wines & made perfect suggestions. Would definitely go there everytime I'm in Byron.
Great service and amazing food! The fresh fresh bread, burrata and parpadelle al ragu were my fave
Great service
The old fashioned is way too easy to drink ?
What great service! What a stunning meal! A superb wine list!! Customer service plus!! This is somewhere you must go! Do yourself a favour and if in Byron, go to Di Vino. It would be one of the best Italian Restaurants that I have been to! Thank you to all the staff who looked after us. From the owner down. Superb. Perfetto!!!
A great place to have a delicious authentic Italian dinner. The menu is delicious and the dishes are cooked to perfection. Highly recommended!
The Lamb Ragu was fantastic aswell as the fish of the day. Great selection of wine, we had an Italian Sangiovese which was full of flavour. My cocktail was a little weak.
Food is delicious! Tradicional Italian, I had the parppadelle beef ragu, just amazing! Highly recommend!
The tortellini was insane ?
Superb handmade pasta, even if the music was 80s Rick and not in keeping with the Byron vibe
Very tasty but small portions, my wife and I finish dinner and we where still hungry, we got bread and anchovies for starters and 2 main dishes 1 disert l, we paid 150$, but the food is good
Awesome food, great staff. Nice setting and food came pretty quick compare with many other places. Would definitely recommend this place.
We had a delicious authentic Italian dinner. The menu is well thought out and the dishes are cooked to perfection. Real Italian execution.
Nice place. Good food. Great service.
I really enjoyed the caprese, ravioli and the panacotta for dessert. If im honest, I was not a fan of the dry arrancini or polenta for the $$. Atmosphere is okay but could be improved, its on the street front but the music could be better early on in the night (could hear waitresses talking, traffic), maybe some candlelight or little plants on the table to make it feel warmer. We were the first table and seated right at the front near the street and steps, next table with kids was put right behind us, not as romantic as I had hoped, since the venue was empty. Overall it is a nice place near main beach. UPDATE: Di Vino, there was barely any atmosphere as described in original review, I understand that it was a newer venue which was why we stayed instead of trying somewhere else, but it should still be considered as important. Even for earlier seatings, as we were there over an hour (until after sunset) and had multiple dishes / drinks whilst hearing cars and waitress gossip instead of the music (one example). I've not experienced this at other local venues, and time of day shouldn't matter.. And if focus is on product put on table, the $20 spent on small entree plates that weren't enjoyable, overcooked (dry), a business should take accountability and not act like it's the customer ("shocked") as I was fair on all dishes and highlighted what was enjoyable. I've eaten at other local Italian joints in the region and those two entrees were below average. Your response to my original review changes my perception of your business as you redirected the comments provided, and I don't feel like you are listening to my concerns even when I gave an honest and fair review of my experience, regardless if it's the first time you've heard it. Opting for a response that would make you sound good but is not genuine is a no in my book.
We were really looking for to eat at Di Vino as it was hard to find a table in Byron area with good reviews. I wished that the arrancinis were lightly more seasoned with a stronger Saffron flavour and cheesy texture as announced on the menu. I would have loved to have a bit more love, passion and flavours too in the pastas. Instead of crispy bacon on top of the amatriciana, tasteless sauces... regarding the pasta I doubt they are made in house so I would have loved ,at least, the pastas not overcooked. In my opinion the service lacked of attention and care. I hope this will help to go in a better direction.
The food was really good and the service was lovely!
Good food and a relaxed vibe!
Best wines and homemade bread in Byron! Also highly recommend the Burrata and Tiramisu. Easily the best Italian in the area and amazing service. You can also book online which makes it super easy.
Very nice customer service but very small and expensive portions on plate. Not usual Italian restaurant portions. Left hungry.
The homemade pea pasta was very salty that I couldn't eat it!! For what you get it was very expensive!
Good but not amazing Italian. Lovely vibe though and great service.
Excellent meals, good portion and friendly service. Just not too sure about the Sunday surcharge tho.
Good service and AMAZING food served so quickly...would definitely eat there again!
Everything was fabulous
Excellent Italian restaurant run by Italians. Classic dishes of Italian cuisine with some contamination from other countries. Large selection of wines and beers. Very trained and friendly staff. Excellent location, next to the beach. Large terrace.
Great food. Great service. All very straightforward.
Went here for Christmas lunch with my family. Expensive but good. Meal was let down by an amateurish dessert of panatone with mango ice cream. WTF?
Considering the distance from Italy, the chef still manages to make excellent dishes. In the amatriciana however there was the bacon and not the bacon. Plate a little small. Nice staff.
We had a very nice Xmas dinner this year at Di Vino. The set menu was served at a good pace, was well prepared and using good quality ingredients. The prawns almost peel themselves what only can happen if they are super fresh. Good service and nice atmosphere, not noisy despite being full. A good option sensibly priced compared to their options around the area.
